Obituary: Stephen Charles Drummond

Stephen Charles Drummond

May 24, 1958 — Jan. 15, 2011

Steve Drummond, 58, has lost his battle with laryngeal cancer. He passed away on Saturday in Salt Lake City. His family will miss him greatly — wife Loraine, daughters Elizabeth and Stephanie, son-in-law Daniel Gibson and granddaughter Anya. Steve was always so proud of his family — they were the center of his life. He was loved by sisters Marty, Deborah, Susan and Laurie —

brothers-in-law Michael, John and William — nieces Erin and Eva — nephews Phillip, Raymond and Bryan — cousins Sonny, Karen and Jean. Born to Frances Burdick and Charles Hanford Drummond in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, he grew up in Denver, Colo. A graduate of Montana College of Mineral Science & Technology, Steve was well known as an accomplished mining engineer — making significant and lasting contributions to the mining industry, both in the private sector and with the Bureau of Land Management. Steve was a devoted citizen, always thankful for our many freedoms. America has lost a patriot. A memorial service will be at a later date. To honor Steve, the family requests donations to the charity of one’s choice. Via con Dios, Steve.
