Milton A. Robertson Jr. was born on Sept. 12, 1954, in Murray, Utah, to Milton A. Robertson Sr. and Delores Robertson and passed away on March 21, 2015, in Reno, Nev.

Milton grew up and lived in several places in Utah with his 10 other brothers and sisters. Milton was a natural in sports and excelled in football and baseball. Milton left high school early and joined the United States Army in 1973. Milton finished high school while in the United States Army and graduated from Fort Carson High School in 1974.

Milton married his high school sweetheart, Debra Robertson, on Dec. 15, 1973. Milton and Debra had three children: Randy, Stephanie and Kristi Robertson.

Milton served and joined the United States Army on July 25, 1973, and served until July 8, 1980. Milton and his family then moved to Rock Springs, Wyo. Milton joined the Wyoming Army National Guard on Sept. 18, 1985, and served until July 5, 1988. Milton and his family then moved to Winnemucca, Nev., in 1995.

Milton joined the Nevada Army National Guard on July 13, 2000, and served until Aug. 6, 2002. Afterwards, Milton transferred to the Nevada Air National Guard on Aug. 7, 2002, and served until July 26, 2013. During this time, Milton proudly served several tours during different times of war in Germany, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. Milton retired from the Nevada Air National Guard as Technical Sergeant (TSGT) in 2013 after 23 years of service.

Milton also worked for Newmont Mining Corporation and held many positions within Newmont Mining from 1995 until 2015.

Milton loved spending time with his family, being outdoors and helping everyone he could. Milton loved riding motorcycles in his free time and was once a member of the Combat Veteran's Motorcycle Association. Milton then joined and was a member of the Vietnam Vets/Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club.

Milton is survived by his wife, Debra Robertson (Winnemucca, Nev.); children, Randy and Linda Robertson (Carson City, Nev.), Robert and Stephanie Shafer (Thorn Bay, Alaska), Derek and Kristi Zacharias (Austin, Nev.); grandchildren, Jerrica Sannes, Austin Sannes, Joshua Robertson, Kaylie Shafer, Alexander Shafer, Marshall Zacharias and Haeliegh Zacharias.

Milton is preceded in death by Milton A. Robertson Sr. (father) and Kim Robertson (sister).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 12 p.m. at the Pioneer Park in Winnemucca, Nev.

A second memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 10 a.m. (MST) at the Virgin City Park in Virgin, Utah.
