Obituary: James (Uhaul, Macker) Walter McDonald

James Walter McDonald (Uhaul) February 18, 1975-March 30, 2015. Born to Mark and Patricia (Leischner) McDonald in Spokane, Washington Macker spent his early years growing up in the Northern Idaho Silver Valley Mining District. He graduated from Wallace High School in Wallace, Idaho. After graduating he spent a couple of seasons on the fishing boats in Alaska. Around 1998 he came to Nevada where he worked for different mining companies and contractors on both the eastern and western side of the Nevada Mining District. Nevada is where he earned his miner name and was affectionately known as Uhaul.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer McDonald, 3 daughters Brook Newman, Jamie McDonald, and Addison McDonald. 2 Grandsons Zarek Newman, John Deakins. Son-in-law Mike Deakins. His parents Mark and Patricia McDonald, his sister Shannon McDonald, his grandmother, Clara Leischner, his nieces Jaide and Sydney Eversole, and a nephew, Mathew Eversole. His aunt, Karen Moore, uncles, Chris McDonald, Craig (Patricia) McDonald and Jim Leichner. 6 cousins Dori Moore, Patty Moore, Tony Moore, Mike Moore, Robin McDonald, and Brian McDonald. He left behind a large family. He loved his friend Dan (Kimberly) Schmelling as his brother. His in Laws John and Sharon Nelson, siter-n-law Kresta Gribble-Kendra Mayfield and Brother-n-laws Jason Gribble and Billy Nelson. He also left behind a ton of friends who knew and loved him, mined with him. He had a passion for mining. His interests were guns, motorcycles and just doing things with his family. He will be missed but never forgotten.

There will be a memorial for Uhaul on Thursday April 9th at the Winnemucca Convention Center in Winnemucca at 3:00 P.M.[[In-content Ad]]
