Noble named Ruby Mountain League Player of Year Ten Lowry players honored, Espinola Coach of Year

WINNEMUCCA - The Lowry High School baseball team had 10 of its players plus its coach honored on the Ruby Mountain all-league teams.

Bryan Noble was named the Player of the Year, while Ron Espinola was chosen as the Coach of the Year.

Three other Lowry players were named to the first team, including second baseman Brandon Okuma, outfielder Calvin Connors and utility player Jace Billingsley.

The rest of the first team included Battle Mountain's Dwight Douglas (pitcher), David DeAndreis (first base) and Ryan Salazar (third base). Spring Creek placed four players on the first team, including McCade Wing (pitcher), Trevor Achenbach (shortstop), Cedric Zumwalt (outfield) and Lane Newman (DH). Elko had two players selected - Dalton Ridgway (pitcher) and Tommy Headly (catcher). White Pine outfielder Levi Valdez was also named to the first team.

Four other Buckaroos were named to the second team, including pitcher Jesse Studebaker, first baseman Tyler Brumm, third baseman Alex Nimmick and Tanner Lecumberry at the utility position.

The second team included Cody Kearns, Zack Armstrong, JT Pete and Francisco Lievanos of Elko; Shawn Sandoval and Aaron Cleary of Spring Creek; Joey Cook of Battle Mountain and Ben Miller of White Pine.

Gus Duncan and Michal Arenas were both named to the honorable mention team.

The Buckaroos finished second in the Ruby Mountain League at 12-4 and were 16-12 overall, losing to Churchill County in the regional playoffs.
