A semi-truck/trailer caught fire at 6:40 a.m. on Aug. 4 on I-80 eastbound near Battle Mountain, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. The driver was hauling beer and there were no injuries. The truck was a total loss. The driver noticed his indicator lights were blinking, he pulled over, saw smoke and got out of the truck, according to NHP. Traffic was delayed for approximately 30 minutes while the Battle Mountain Volunteer Fire Department put out the fire. There were no injuries.[[In-content Ad]]
