Nicholas Holley arraigned for burglary

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - An arraignment was held April 2 for Nicholas Henry Holley for a charge of burglary in a case involving merchandise allegedly being stolen from Midway Market.

Holley was arrested April 1 for burglary and conspire burglary. He was charged officially by the District Attorney's Office with burglary, a category B felony, and conspiracy to commit burglary, a gross misdemeanor. His preliminary hearing was slated to be held April 17 at 1:30 p.m.

According to the District Attorney's Office criminal complaint, on or about March 30, at or near Midway Market, the defendant entered Midway Market with the intent to commit larceny.

Also according to the complaint, on or about March 30, the defendant conspired with another person to enter Midway Market with the intent to commit burglary.

According to Lander County Sheriff Ron Unger, merchandise was stolen from Midway Market and Holley is a suspect. The investigation is ongoing, he said.
