BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Newmont Mining Corp. and its Nevada employees received a big thank you from the Lander County Committee Against Domestic Violence when board members met for their regular monthly meeting on Feb. 21.
Through the NMC Legacy Fund, Newmont has partnered with its employees to help support local and regional non-profit organizations with monetary donations and pledges.
Newmont matches the employee donations dollar-for-dollar. Employees are able to donate via payroll deductions through the employee-giving program, according to Newmont Senior External Relations Representative Shar Peterson.
