WINNEMUCCA - Three new Winnemucca Police Department officers were sworn in recently by Mayor Di An Putnam at Winnemucca City Hall.
Officer T.J. Pinkston was sworn in on Dec. 23. Pinkston brings with him seven years experience with the Nevada Highway Patrol. He also has a BS in Public Health and is currently working on his Masters Degree. Pinkston served with the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman attached to the Fleet Marine Force-rapid response team before his law enforcement career.
Officer Chris Morton was sworn in on Jan. 9. Morton had served with the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and Nevada Highway Patrol prior to his new position with the WPD. Morton also served with the United States Navy as a Search and Rescue Swimmer and with the Nevada Air National Guard as a load master.
Officer Elizabeth Hill was also sworn in on Jan. 9. Hill completed the Nevada P.O.S.T. Academy in May 2011. She worked for the Lovelock Police Department until her hire with the WPD.
The Winnemucca Police Department would like to welcome Officers Pinkston, Morton and Hill to the WPD Team.
