WINNEMUCCA - Humboldt General Hospital has welcomed a new physician.
B. Leonard Perkinson, M.D. has joined the staff at the hospital located at 118 E. Haskell St. He will practice in Suite D of the new medical office building.
"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Perkinson to our ranks," said HGH CEO/Administrator Jim Parrish.
"We are impressed with the skill set that he brings to Humboldt County and know that he will be an important asset to both our patients and our hospital."
The new Family Practice/OB physician began seeing patients on Monday, April 9.
He will be available for appointments Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office will be closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Dr. Perkinson is a family practice physician, serving patients from newborns to the elderly.
He joins Drs. Bradford Granath and Sharon McIntyre in providing obstetrical - maternity and delivery - services to the community.
Dr. Perkinson attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine and completed Family Medicine Residencies at UCSF Fresno Family Medicine Residency and Natividad Medical Center. He also completed an OB Fellowship at Natividad Medical Center.
