LOVELOCK - There's a new sheriff's deputy in town. Pershing County Sheriff Deputy Bodie Golla started working for the PCSO in July.
Golla has worked for the Carson City Sheriff's Office and most recently as a Washoe Tribe Officer. So why did he come to Pershing County?
"Pershing was hiring and I wanted to get out of Washoe County so we came here," Golla said.
The same reason most of us moved here, to get out of the big cities.
"It's a quieter, friendlier atmosphere in a small town. I like it. It's a nice change," Golla said.
Golla is married with two children ages nine and two years old. He and his family plan to move to Imlay in the near future, where he will be the resident deputy there.
