Nevada Guard Association hosts Fallen & Injured Soldier Memorial Golf Tournament

RENO - The Nevada National Guard Association, in conjunction with Thunder Canyon Country Club, is set to host a golf tournament to support the soldiers and families affected by the Sept. 6 shooting in a Carson City IHOP restaurant. The event is Monday, Oct. 10, at the Thunder Canyon Country Club, which is generously opening its doors to the public to support these northern Nevada military families.

The format is a four-person scramble. Thunder Canyon Country Club is located at 19 Lightning W Ranch Road, Washoe Valley. Registration is at 8 a.m., shotgun start at 9 a.m. The reservation/pay deadline is Thursday, Oct. 6. The cost is $80 per person and includes a cart, range balls and lunch.

The tournament will also include a silent auction and raffle. Interested parties may play, sponsor a player for $80 or sponsor a team for $320. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the military families in northern Nevada.

The Nevada Military Support Alliance is the benefactor through which proceeds will go to the victims, so please make checks payable to the Nevada Military Support Alliance.
