National Honor Society welcomes new members

WINNEMUCCA - The Torch Chapter of National Honor Society welcomed new members on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the annual induction ceremony.

The ceremony began with a few welcoming words from the chapter president, Brandon Eastman, and from Michelle Pasquale, one of the advisors. The guest speaker was Chad Peters, the owner of Spare Time Bowling. He emphasized the importance of the four pillars of National Honor Society (scholarship, character, service and leadership) as well as the importance of family and friends. Debbie Watts congratulated the inductees and their parents for their accomplishment and academic achievement. Whitney Waller played the piano and sang during the procession and recession. Cole Milholland provided entertainment, singing and playing the guitar.

The new inductees include Allison Barron, Chris Barta, Charlotte Bernard, Dustin Bryan, Calvin Connors, Joseba Criswell, Maeve Donovan, Amaya Drake, Nate Eldot, Karen Esparza, Jolyn Garcia, Melissa Jimenez, Jed Johnson, Kelsey Laker, Jasmine Landa, Tanner Lecumberry, Tytus Millikan, Aaron Nelson, Taylor Schwartz, Rachel Sigurdson, Robert Stepper, Jancy Ulch, AJ Jackson and Jessica Rackley.

The advisors, executive board and existing members would like to congratulate the inductees for their great achievement.
