Nathan Richard DeBruycker passed away on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle/car accident. Nathan was born in Lewistown, Mont., on Jan. 31, 1991. As a youngster, the growing family moved to Powell, Wyo., and later moved to Columbus, Mont., for his high school years. As the charismatic, loved-by-all, eldest son of Joel and Robin DeBruycker, Nate will be missed by all.
His memorial service was held Aug. 31, 2012, at Smith Funeral Chapel, with burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Columbus.
In addition to his parents, Nate is also survived by his brothers Dylan and Landan of Columbus, grandparents Dick and Ilean Ellestad of Lewistown, Bunny Odden of Dutton, Rudy DeBruycker of California and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nathan's natural athletic ability, combined with hard work, led to many outstanding achievements in football, wrestling and track. Along with being a standout athlete, Nate also loved music, fishing, boating, nice cars, hunting and looking good! But mostly, Nathan loved his family and friends. Countless hours were spent with those that mattered most to him.
A memorial fund in Nathan's name has been opened at Altana Federal Credit Union, 912 East Pike Avenue, Columbus, MT 59019. There was a BIG NATE life celebration on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. at the 307 Restaurant in Columbus, Mont., with a silent auction and DJ / Karaoke. Proceeds will go toward Nathan's memorial fund which will benefit the community.
