Nathan Muniz of Winnemucca passed away Jan. 8,2012, at Renown Hospital in Reno. Nathan was born Sept. 19, 1986, in Kennewick, Wash. At six weeks old he moved with his family to Nevada where he had lived ever since. As a young man he was in the Civil Air Patrol, played basketball for the city and graduated from Albert Lowry High School 2005. After graduation Nathan went on to work for the BLM Bootstraps and then on to be a firefighter which was his dream.
Nathan is preceded in death by his Great Grandmother Maha, Grandfathers Leeland Dexter and Juan Muniz, his uncle Jerry Davis, and cousin Richard Davis.
He is survived by his Father Ernesto Muniz, Mother Mary Anne Muniz, Grandmother Earlene Dexter, Sister Gabriella Pence, Brother Dexter Muniz, and Nephews Chance and Bronson as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
He is loved by everyone who knew him and touched everyone's heart he met. There will never be a way to replace him so we will all keep him close in our hearts.
We will never forget our Son, Grandson, Brother, Uncle and Friend.

Services will be held on Jan. 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Catholic Church with reception to follow at Winnemucca Convention Center at 2:30 p.m.
