WINNEMUCCA -Officers from the Winnemucca Police Department responded to the corner of Baud and Fourth streets for a report of an injury accident on Oct. 1 at approximately 5 p.m. involving a passenger vehicle and fire truck.
Officers arriving on-scene found that a southbound Humboldt County fire truck did proceed into the intersection after stopping at the stop sign, according to the WPD. While in the intersection, the truck was struck by a westbound sedan. One passenger from the sedan was transported to Humboldt General Hospital and released at 6 p.m.
