BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Senior Recognition Night was held June 3 at the Battle Mountain Civic Center. More than $70,000 in scholarships were awarded. The exact total was not given.

The following are the awards and scholarships received by Battle Mountain High School graduating seniors: Four Years of Perfect Attendance - Mark Young; Shop Awards - Jordan Gilbert, David Sanchez, Michael Marshall, Kyle Booth, Alfred Cockran, Jordan Youngblood, Jonathan Morrison, Thomas Mahon and Scott Criss; Skills USA for $1,000 - Justina Chavez; Memorial Scholarships, $500 to Jayme Tomera, $500 to Emily Taylor and $500 to Mason Burkhart; C.N.A. Awards - Kris Williams, Amy Longchamps, Abbie Mikelson, Maleni Cruz Diaz, Kalin Nelson, Rebakah Russell and Hanna Eason.
