More counts bound over for Bidegary

Seth Thomas Bidegary is facing 20 more counts in Sixth Judicial District Court after preliminary hearings in justice court Friday.

Bidegary appeared for two cases Friday. The first charged him with two counts of attempted sexual assault with a victim under 16, sexual assault and conspiracy to commit sexual seduction. The attempted sexual assault charges were bound over and the other two were found to have insufficient evidence.

The second case charged Bidegary with 20 counts of use of a minor in producing pornography. Eighteen of those were bound over to district court.

No date had been set for an arraignment in either case as of Monday.

In May, 12 counts of sexual assault with a child under 14 years of age were also bound over. No date has been set for that case either.

Bidegary, of Paradise Valley, was arrested on Oct. 18 following an extensive investigation conducted by the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, according to a news release at the time.

Bidegary's co-defendant, Angel Shelly Janece Vanosdall, pleaded not guilty last month to two counts of statutory sexual seduction (category C felonies) and two counts of conspiracy to commit statutory sexual seduction (gross misdemeanors). She is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Sept. 15. Her trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 13.
