The Humboldt County Rodeo Club continued to make its way through the spring schedule of the Nevada High School Rodeo Association with a trip to Fallon on April 12-13.
Savannah Montero swept both performances of goat tying, beginning with a time of 7.36 seconds on April 12. In addition, Montero was 10th in the first performance of breakaway roping with a time of 5.75.
Also on April 12, Dusty Robertson was third in breakaway roping, stopping the clock at 4.65 and Luke Logan (19.50) and Jake Logan (36.65) were fifth and 12th, respectively, in tie-down roping. Tanner Shearer and Shaun Mentaberry were fourth in team roping with a time of 15.01 and Trase Bell along with Fernley's Sam Goings were seventh in team roping at 15.290.
Shaylee Robertson placed seventh in breakaway roping at 5.10, 13th in pole bending at 23.342 and 22nd in barrel racing at 20.378. Emalee Brown finished 11th in goat tying in a time of 11.040 and was 17th in breakaway roping at 15.830. Patrice Stewart was 13th in barrel racing at 19.717 and Maclyn Crnkovich was 22nd in pole bending with a time of 25.295.
Montero was back on top in goat tying with a run of 7.85 seconds on April 13. She added a15th-place finish in breakaway roping at 12.550. Clay Stremler had the only ride of the weekend in saddle bronc as he stayed on for the full eight seconds to score 63 points.
Kenadee Miller earned a runner-up finish in breakaway roping with a time of 3.31, while Trase Bell (15.850) and Jake Logan (17.700) were third and sixth, respectively in tie-down roping. Bell also added a seventh-place finish in team roping with a time of 19.680.
Caleb Logan and Fernley's Jay Guerrero were second in team roping with a time of 9.580 and Jake Logan and Luke Logan were 13th in team roping at 38.700.
Brown placed 10th in breakaway roping at 6.37, Crnkovich was 11th in barrel racing in a time of 19.127 and Dusty Robertson was 14th in goat tying at 12.610. Stewart finished 14th in barrel racing at 19.273 and was 24th in pole bending with a time of 21,965. Shaylee Robertson placed 20th in pole bending at 28.093 and 24th in barrel racing in a time of 19.934.
On the junior high side on April 12, Quint Bell picked up runner-up finishes in goat tying (11.09) and chute dogging at 4.32. Cade Bell was fourth in boys breakaway at 21.520, seventh in goat tying at 12.800 and was ninth in ribbon roping with a time of 28.490. Kerstin Christiansen placed fifth in barrel racing at 18.841 and Megan Miller was ninth in goat tying at 15.800.
On April 13, Quint Bell and Cade Bell won the team roping with a time of 10.860. Cade Bell won the boys breakaway at 5.49, was fourth in ribbon roping with a time of 12.900 and fifth in goat tying at 13.380.
Quint Bell finished second in goat tying with a time of 12.360, was fourth in chute dogging at 11.400, fourth on boys breakaway at 7.200 and fifth in ribbon roping at 17.210. Miller posted a fourth-place finish in girls breakaway with a time of 7.88.
