BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Midway Market and Western Family-Associated Foods held a Supermarket Sweep on Friday, March 9. Customers were able to enter the contest for about one month. According to store employees, the winning name was drawn by a customer.
Josh and Angelica Rose were the winners of the contest. They were given two minutes to go throughout the store and fill up as many shopping carts as they possibly could. They said that after they were notified of winning the contest, they made a couple trips to the store to look over the location of certain items they were interested in grabbing. Big, bulk items were the main thing they were looking for, including coffee, diapers, sugar, flour etc.
With the husband acting as the pusher and the wife being the shopper, the duo managed to fill three carts full of groceries, bagging a whopping $452.28 worth of goods to take home for their family.
