Michelle "Mickee" Adele Yancy succumbed to cancer after a brave two-year battle at her home, on Dec. 1, 2014.
Michelle was born to Clyde McCarcy and Bernice Davis McCarcy in Santa Rosa, Calif. On June 22, 1963, Michelle married Clarence W. Yancy in Carmel, Calif. They made their home in Oakland, Calif., and started a family: Pamela, Phillip, Deborah and Danielle. In 2001, they moved to Lovelock, Nev., to be close to family.
She loved being outside tending to her flowers and garden, and especially enjoyed spring when the baby goats arrived. Michelle was also a talented artist.
Michelle is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Alice McCarthy, daughter, Pamela Ruano, and in-laws, Oliver & Nancy Yancy. She is survived by Clarence, her husband of 51 years, and her children and their families: Ramon Ruano-Nisa, Selena, Isabella; Phillip (Rebecca), Chelsea (Justin), Cheyenne; Deborah Koukouvetakis, Marina (Chris), Alexandria, Nicholas; and Danielle (Santos) Maldonado-Santos, Jr., Roy, Romeo. She will be missed by Ruddy & Dingo (dogs). A memorial service is being held on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at 2 p.m., at the Lovelock Community Center, 850 Sixth Street, Lovelock, NV, with reception to follow.[[In-content Ad]]
