Michael Gordon Thompson was born Nov. 16, 1982, to Linda Salvatore and Harry Gordon Thompson. He left this life to be with our Lord on June 16, 2013. Mike grew up in Nevada and Montana during his childhood. Mike was always a motivated go-getter whether it be as a young boy catching lizards and snakes with siblings and cousins or building things with his hands. At one point as an adult he thought about pursuing architecture because he could dream up beautiful things. He also was an amazing chef. One year while working for the Hilton Garden Inn they entered the Death by Chocolate where his desserts won first place. He could write very talented poems and stories. Mike had a true passion for anything he decided to create.
When Mike was about 17 he moved to Idaho, where he met his first wife Melissa Thompson and they had three beautiful children together. Years later and after some troubled times they grew apart and divorced. He then met his fiancée Emily Hardin and also had a beautiful son with her. Mike was so very proud to be a father and he loved all of his children with all of his heart. Mike always wanted what was best for his children and was very proud of how each of them was growing and who they were becoming.
Mike went through some struggles in his life but was working hard to overcome those obstacles and to move forward to a brighter future for himself and his children. Mike will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends and all that knew him.
He is survived by his mom and stepdad, Linda and Ernest Salvatore, stepmom Rose Thompson, his brothers and sisters; Jeromy (Felicia) Thompson, Alisha (Jim) Thompson Uuben, Nicci (Matt) Thompson Livingston, Shawna (Tom) Fraiser, Raquel (Ryan) Mills, Heather (Keith) Lebrun, and Garilee (Mickey) Gustafson, his fiancée Emily Hardin and his four beautiful children, Gauge Michael, Tanol James, Jesalynn Rose, and Uriah Eugene Thompson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Nellie Thompson, his dad Harry Gordon Thompson and brother James Earl Legg.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls.
