Micaela "Michelle" Fuentes Vaca, age 33 of Reno, Nev., passed away at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno on Nov. 10, 2014.
Michelle was born June 16, 1981 to Jesus and Alice Vaca in Winnemucca, Nev. She graduated from Lowry High School in Winnnemucca and continued her education at the University of Nevada in Reno where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication and Business. She earned her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.
Michelle dedicated her life to helping others. She loved having friends and family over for game night and was an animal lover.
Michelle was survived by the love of her life Gregory Edward Knott, son Logan Alexander Knott, father Jesus Vaca, mother Alice Fuentes Vaca, and brothers Adam and Jesus Vaca Jr., step-mother Mary Jean Vaca, and stepbrothers Gabe, John and Timo Duran, with many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Viewing will be held at Sonoma Funeral Home in Winnemucca, Nev., on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 with Mass at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul's Catholic Church with Interment following at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
