Kelly Pinkston (McDermitt guidance counselor and GEARUP adviser) and Stacy Ramsey (GEARUP SPIF) teamed up with Trixie Byron (Fort McDermitt Tribe education specialist) to plan and implement a career/college fair on May 7. A total of 24 colleges and businesses participated in McDermitt's career/college fair at the McDermitt community center. Students in grades 7-12 from McDermitt school and Orovada school attended the career/college fair. In addition, community members and others attended. Organizers said the fair was very successful and they plan to have one next school year as well.[[In-content Ad]]
