WINNEMUCCA - Mary Kaye Knaphus will be on stage in Winnemucca on Saturday, Dec. 7 right after the Parade of Lights. "Mary Kaye's Cowboy Christmas" concert is a fundraiser for the Humboldt County Senior Center and will be held at the Pleasant Center, 1480 Lay St., Winnemucca. The full concert begins at 7 p.m., and will have an intermission. Tickets are $15 and there is limited seating, so get there early!
Mary Kaye is a multiple award winning Western entertainer who, with her Taylor guitar, shares the stories of the West in music and song. Recently she was recognized by True West Magazine as Western music's 2013 Best Solo Musician and was named Female Performer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year in 2013 by the Western Music Association. She also just received the 2012 Song of the Year award, with cowboy poet Les Buffham, from the Western Music Association for the song "No Wilder Place."
Mary Kaye's album "A Cowboy Christmas" will be for sale at the concert, as will her other albums. Don't miss this chance to experience a world-class talent in a rare small-venue performance.
