Marion Lucas Caravan, born March 1, 1920, in Bishop Falls, Newfoundland, Canada, to Jessie and William Lucas, passed away on Nov. 16, 2011, at Battle Mountain Long Term Care Center. She married Percy Caravan on July 17, 1939. They moved to Dayton in 1954 and resided in Nevada, Idaho, California and Georgia. They returned to Winnemucca to be closer to family.
Marion was preceded in death by Percy and daughter Rachel. She is survived by children: Carol Jackson, Bend, Ore.: Betty (Ray) Thompson, Battle Mountain and Jim (Juanita) Caravan, Fernley; along with five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
No services are planned per Marion's wishes. Memorial donations can be sent to Battle Mountain Long Term Care Center, ℅ Ruby Bryant.
