Marilyn Louise Carden, 61, passed away on July 7, 2013 in Winnemucca after a long battle with cancer.
Marilyn was born in Colville, Wash., to proud parents William and Nellie Rima on March 5, 1952. Marilyn was one of six daughters, her five sisters include Maxine Bach, Phyllis Banks, Patsy Lemery , Cheryl Buckman and Doris Meusy.
Marilyn married Darrell R. Carden Sr. a short 44 years ago.
Marilyn was a resident of northeast Washington state for 30 years and later moved to northern Nevada where she resided for the past 30 years.
Marilyn managed several businesses including motel, bar/casino, and restaurant for over 17 years.
Her hobbies were bowling, attending storage unit auctions, running the second hand store "Wally's Used & Unique." Marilyn also enjoyed attending church, camping on the Columbia River with her children and doting on her many grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Darrel Carden Sr., children Joseph Carden, Shawn Carden, and Chet Carden of Omak, Wash., Wally Carden and Deborah Cameron of Winnemucca, as well as 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents William and Nellie Rima, and her sister Doris Meusy.
The family would like to thank Humboldt Volunteer Hospice and Genesis Home Health Care. They would also like to say thank you to Sonoma Baptist Church and its members for all of their support.
