Marie Chantel Eastwood

Marie Chantel Eastwood "Reedie" was tragically taken from her family and friends on May 6, 2012.

Marie was born Jan. 12, 1977, to John and Lorette "Yordy" Eastwood in Moab, Utah. Marie was joined two years later by Taryn Caye "KK". Caye was Marie's birthday gift being born the day before her second birthday. Thus began the life long bond of a loving sisterhood.

Moab was just the beginning of Marie's life long journey. This journey encompassed living in most of the Western United States. Marie returned to Hayden, Colo., several times and graduated from Hayden High School in 1995. She attended Colorado Northwest College in Rangely where she graduated with an Associate's Degree.

Marie's many travels made her the open loving person she became. She had no prejudices, she viewed everyone she met as a potential friend and loved one. Reedie loved people and people loved Reedie.

Marie chose to put down roots in Winnemucca with Kelli and her family.

Marie married William A. Manners and brought into her family Gene and Delbert Manners. The marriage was later dissolved but she kept custody of Gene and Delbert.

Marie's most cherished wish was to become a mother. Biologically this never happened but she was mother to the children of her heart Tyler, Trey, Kellen and Kristen.

Marie met the love of her life Robbie Robertson, who brought Reedie such happiness and love. He also gave her two more children of the heart Shaylee and Dusty. Robbie and Marie became engaged May 3, 2012.

Marie is survived by her mother, Lorette "Yordy" Eastwood, Moab, Utah, her father John (Betty) Eastwood, San Angelo, Texas, by her favorite sister Taryn Caye Eastwood, Fruita, Colo. Her aunt Friend and soul mate, Rickelle "Kelli" and uncle, Clemente "Gomer" Gomez; Children, Tyler, Trey, Kellen, Kristen Gomez, Shaylee & Dusty Robertson and her fiancé Robbie Robertson, Winnemucca. Her Papa Angel, Dale Holyoak, Moab, Utah; her Granny Grace Porter, San Angelo, Texas; and grandfather, Don (Jo) Eastwood, Chaffee, Mo. Her aunts Daleine (Tony) Martin, Wendover, Utah, Riata "Blondie" Ganino and Tonya "Kim" (RD) Blackburn, Moab, Utah and her uncles Clint (Brenda) Porter, Mansfield, Texas, Ron (Betty) Porter, Reno, and Bode (Gayle) Porter, San Angelo, Texas. She is also survived by numerous cousins.

Marie was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Helen Jo Youngblood and beloved dog, GoGo.

Marie brought laughter, joy and love to every life she touched. Marie was the life of our party and we will miss her vitality, smile, and laughter. The world has been a better place because of her.

Reedie was a big enough personality that she needed two services. The first will be a memorial service in Winnemucca, May 11, 2012. It will be held at the Convention Center at 1 PM. This will be a time for family and friends to share their Reedie stories.

The funeral will be held in Moab, Utah, at the 400 North LDS Church. It will begin at 1 PM with Interment to follow at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

We would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
