Marian S. McIntosh, 84, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, in Ely, Nev., only 16 days after her husband Argie Don (Mac) McIntosh died in Boise, Idaho. Marian was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Ely, Nev., to Charles Henry and Mabel Cecelia (Draper) Smith.
Marian was raised in McGill, Nev., and graduated from White Pine High School with the class of 1946.
Marian met Argie Don (Mac) McIntosh of Junction, Utah, and after only three dates they were married. They had a long and very loving life together that lasted over sixty-six years.
Marian and Argie moved to Utah and started their family. In 1953 the family moved to Southern California for short time and then back to Ely in 1956, working for Hill Top Drug and Safeway stores until 1965, when the family then moved to Battle Mountain, Nev., where she worked for the United States Postal Service for 20-plus years.
Marian retired from the USPS in 1989 and soon after moved to St. George, Utah, where she and her husband Argie (Mac) lived until 2012 before moving to Star, Idaho.
Marian loved working at the McGill Drug store during her high school years, gardening, spoiling grand and great-grand kids, traveling to China and Europe and taking care of her loving husband.
Marian was always there to help anyone, especially family. If you ever needed a "dime" for something she would make sure you got a "dollar" with no arguments.
