He pleaded guilty in February to battery with substantial bodily harm as part of plea negotiations with prosecutors.
At his February arraignment on the felony charge, Boyles told the judge that he and his wife had gotten into an argument on Nov. 12. She was outside and he grabbed her, pulled her back into the house and threw her on the living room floor, according to court records.
"It became physical and, unfortunately, I broke her collarbone," he told the judge in February.
The battery resulted in Kelli Boyles later receiving treatment for her injuries at Renown Medical Center in Reno, court files show.
Deputy District Attorney Roger Whomes said the victim was rendered unconscious during the incident.
