The man who was struck by a train on Sunday has been identified as Michael Leslie Stein, 57, of Winnemucca, according to the Winnemucca Police Department.
Stein had a local address at the Westerner Trailer Park.
Stein was found along the railroad tracks near the East Winnemucca Boulevard crossing just after 7 a.m., on Sunday. He was pronounced dead on scene.
According to the sheriff's office, the cause of death was blunt force trauma as the result of being struck by the train.
