Man arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking

WINNEMUCCA - Taylin Jesus Hotz, 18, was arrested Friday, Feb. 1, after Humboldt County Sheriff's Deputy Steve Radmanovich stopped the suspect's car and observed controlled substances and drug paraphernalia within, according to an HCSO news release.

Humboldt County Undersheriff Curtiss Kull said that over 28 grams of methamphetamine were found in the vehicle.

According to the news release, Radmanovich observed Hotz's vehicle leaving a scrap yard at a high rate of speed. After stopping the vehicle, and upon further investigation, Radmanovich observed methamphetamine and paraphernalia in the car.

Hotz was placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, trafficking in a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

As of Tuesday, Hotz was still in custody at the Humboldt County Detention Center and his bail was set at $270,627.
