Lynn H. McArthur, 57, from Winnemucca, passed away suddenly in his home, on Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
Lynn was born, Aug. 6, 1954, in Manti, Utah, and was the son of Bryan and LeOra McArthur. He enjoyed 31 years of marriage, to his loving wife Brenda McArthur. Together they raised four children, Brandon McArthur, Justin McArthur, Tiffannie Mabery, and Staci McArthur. He was an amazing grandfather to twelve beautiful children.
He earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting at the University of Utah. He was currently employed, doing the job that he loved, as an underground miner at the Barrick, Cortez Mine. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, and kayaking. His proudest role in life was as a father and grandfather, and nothing brought him more joy than being with his family.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his younger brother Kelly McArthur.
He is survived by his wife, four children, twelve grandchildren, and six siblings; Roger McArthur, Guy McArthur, Kay Henningson, LeAnna Johansen, Patsy Nielson, Verla Smyth, and Leslie Roberts.
A viewing will be held at the Albertson Funeral Home in Winnemucca on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. A funeral service in his honor will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the LDS Church, 295 S. Main St., in Manti, Utah. A viewing will take place at 9 a.m., followed by his funeral service at 10 a.m. Lynn will be laid to rest in Wales, Utah.
