Rick Conver, age 76, died Aug. 14, 2014, at his home in Winnemucca, Nev. with his children by his side.
Rick was born Feb. 16, 1938, to Aura Lee and Orpha June Conver in Erie, Penn. He also lived in Carson City and Winnemucca, Nev. Rick served in the United States Navy and Coast Guard. He fought for his country in the Korean War.
Rick had two children, Virginia Conver and David Conver of Winnemucca, Nev. He has five grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Morgan, Sammy and Gabe. Rick was preceded in death by his brother Howard Conver.
Rick was an owner of several Nevada bars and the owner the Second Hand Rose Furniture and Antiques in Moundhouse, Nev.
Rick enjoyed classic movies, refinishing furniture, reading, painting, gambling and he was well known for always telling a good joke. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Winnemucca Humane Society in Rick's name.

Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Winnemucca on Sept. 27, 2014, at 10:30 am
