Lowry's Child Development classes offering one-hour preschool

Lowry High School's child development classes and their teacher have some special things planned for children enrolled in their spring session mini pre-school starting Wednesday, April 9. The mini pre-school hour will be twice a week for six weeks (ending through May 14).

Parents can choose to enroll their child in a morning class or an afternoon class. In the morning class, Lowry Child Development students will work with the children from 10:10 to 11:10 a.m on Wednesdays. and on Thursdays from 9:10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. The afternoon classes meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:20-1:20 p.m.

Those wishing to enroll a child need to bring a copy of the birth certificate and shot record to the main office at Lowry High School. Children 3 to 4 years old can be enrolled for $10; the cost covers a simple snack. The only requirement is the child must be potty trained.

Each class has room for 15 children.

The high school students serve as instructors and guides at the children's center, supervised by the high school's Early Childhood Education teacher. Activities include songs, story time and free play.[[In-content Ad]]
