The basketball games set for last Friday in Winnemucca between Lowry High School and Fernley were postponed due to weather. High winds in northern Nevada made it not safe for a number of teams travel on the roads.
A handful of games were canceled, including Dayton/Churchill County and Truckee and Spring Creek. Spring Creek made it to Truckee and the JV games were played, but officials for the varsity games could not make it to Lake Tahoe, because of closed roads. The Truckee and Spring Creek games will be played in Winnemucca on Wednesday.
Lowry will play Fernley today (Tuesday), starting with the JV girls game at 3 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
