Lowry volleyball teams to wear pink jerseys to promote Breast Cancer Awareness

WINNEMUCCA - The Lowry High School volleyball teams will don pink jerseys on Tuesday and Wednesday to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness.

The Lady Bucks will play Churchill County on Tuesday, with the freshman match starting at 4 p.m. The JV and varsity will follow. Lowry then hosts Pershing County on Wednesday, with the JV and varsity playing at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.

All of the teams will sport pink jerseys to show support for those who have been affected by breast cancer. In addition, players will be selling Volley for the Cure T-shirts for $15 and accepting donations from fans.

Proceeds and donations will be given to Ashley Treat. Treat is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. She is a single mother with two children.

All volleyball fans and members of the community that have been affected by any type of cancer are welcome to attend the two nights of volleyball and help raise money for this cause.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink on both nights.[[In-content Ad]]
