WINNEMUCCA - This November, Lowry High School will celebrate Honor Society Week. The week is designated as a time to acknowledge the many achievements and contributions of the outstanding high school students who are members of National Honor Society. This week is designed to encourage leadership and service among all of the high school students.
So far this year, Lowry's National Honor Society students have participated in several community service projects including: volunteering at the soup kitchen, conducting a campus clean-up for LHS and working booths at the Halloween carnival Spook Night, among other things. Some upcoming projects for members include more soup kitchen volunteering and "You've Been Raked" (a community clean-up initiative).
National Honor Society is also looking forward to the induction of new members on Nov. 15.
