Members of the Lowry High School Choirs participated in the NE Nevada Honor Choir on October 14th at 6:00 PM at the Elko Convention center. The Choir was led by Dr. James Jirak director of choral studies at Boise State University. Each school performed individually with Lowry participants singing their director's (Paul Criddle) arrangement of "That Lonesome Road", then as a large group with participants from all the schools in the region. The choir started out with "The Star Spangled Banner" in commemoration of our National Anthem's bicentennial and then sang several selections including "Black is the Color of my True Love's Hair" arranged by Jaques Rizzo, "Count on it!" by Kevin Memly and "Jubilate Deo" by Peter Anglea.[[In-content Ad]]
