Lowry High students take audiences on a fun trip in 'SeussOdyssey'

Lowry drama and stagecraft students took audience members on a "SeussOdyssey" the first week in December. Daytime performances were given for all of the Lowry High School English classes that were studying Homer's "Odyssey" this year. Nighttime performances for the community were held Dec. 2-4 for a total of 10 performances. This relatively new play used the rhyming writing style of Dr. Seuss classics to tell the mythological story of Odysseus' journeys. Cast members laughed when they first read through the play's humorous rhyming format, and when they performed it, the audiences obviously felt the same.
