Nearly 100 players turned out for the opening days of practice for the Lowry High School football team. The Buckaroos went through three days of heat acclimation practice that ended on Wednesday. Full contact drills are not permitted until Monday, so the Buckaroos will continue non-contact drills until that time. Lowry opens its season on Thursday, Aug. 29, with a non-conference game against Battle Mountain. The Buckaroos are coming off their best season in school history with a 10-2 record.
