Nearly 100 players turned out for the opening days of practice for the Lowry High School football team. The Buckaroos went through three days of heat acclimation practice that ended last Wednesday. Full contact drills began Monday, as the Buckaroos prepare for its season-opener on Thursday, Aug. 28, with a non-conference game against North Valleys in Reno. The Buckaroos are coming off a 10-2 record in 2013 that saw them reach the state semifinals for a fourth consecutive season.
