This month at Lowry High School our students of the month are freshman Alyssa Kuskie, sophomore Veronica Jones, junior Amanda Brandon and senior Jessie Schirrick. Each of these students exemplifies many leadership qualities in their own unique ways.
Alyssa Kuskie was nominated by Vicki Meissner. Alyssa has always been on top of her work, comes to class ready to learn and help others, and asks intelligent questions to get involved with the class. Alyssa continues to have a positive attitude, and set a perfect example for academic achievement. She is truly a pleasure to have in class.
Veronica Jones was nominated by Joyce Langham. Veronica has always had an excellent understanding of concepts and is willing to share her insights with her fellow peers as they work on an assignment. She is careful while doing her work and makes very few careless errors. She often receives perfect scores on tests. Ms. Langham tells of how Veronica would sometimes ask for additional math work for a challenge or practice. She is always pleasant and respectful.
Amanda Brandon is an excellent library aide. She is very hard working, extremely intelligent, and very kind natured. She was nominated and praised by Pam Bidart for her devoted time and efforts in the library.
Jessie Schirrick was nominated by Ron Espinola. Jessie has recently assumed a leadership role in The Brand by becoming an editor. In a short time she has focused to adapt to perform the role well. She does an excellent job in that role with having more responsibility. Although she may be a little peculiar at times, she brings a unique personality and sense of humor to the newspaper staff.[[In-content Ad]]
