Lowry High parent to share family's scholarship journey during presentation

WINNEMUCCA - Lowry High School's Parent-Teacher-Student Organization invites all area residents to a very special presentation next week.

"Scholarships: One Family's Journey" will take place from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the library at Lowry High School.

Lowry High School PTSO President Nicole Maher said this won't be a run-of-the-mill talk about scholarships, though.

"This will be the experience of the Eastman family and how they have found success (and challenge) in sending three children to college with significant scholarship help," said Maher.

Deanna Eastman will make the presentation. She will share personal insights into the scholarship journey; she will also discuss the resources and help available through Lowry High School's Career Center.

All parents and community members are invited to attend; participants do not need to have a child in high school.

"You won't want to miss this personal look at how the Eastmans did it, and how your family can do it, too," said Maher.
