There are five students of the month at Lowry for the month of May. With the school year coming to a close, there are two seniors nominated for student of the month because this is their last chance to be acknowledged for their great work in the classroom. These students have worked exceptionally hard this school year, and they are finally receiving the recognition they deserve. Here are the students of the month for the month of May;
Freshman, Griffen Ellett - Griffen was nominated for student of the month by Mr. Aberasturi. Mr. Aberasturi said, "Griffen always does what is asked of him in a timely manner with quality work". Griffen is a busy worker, and with this quality, he must do great in his other classes as well. Congrats Griffen!
Sophomore, Jacob Palmer - Jacob was nominated by Mrs. Ludlow. She had great things to say about Palmer's work ethic and his attitude in class. Mrs. Ludlow says he is, "a hard working, diligent student who is respectful to all and is a role model to other students". Jacob obviously does a good job in class, and deserves this honor. Great job Jacob!
Junior, Jose Bernal - Mrs. Meissner nominated Jose for student of the month. She had great things to say about Jose. She said, "Jose is always eager to participate, is thoughtful, grasps ideas quickly and deeply, and offers to help others". Jose offers qualities that a top-tier student needs. Way to go Jose!
Senior, Taylor Latray - Mr. Billingsley nominated Taylor for her hard work in his weights class. Billingsley says, "Taylor is always willing to help student athletes in our training room, and she has a great attitude while helping them". Taylor has a great work ethic and a good attitude, and these qualities will help her tremendously in college.
Senior, Nate Eldodt - Our final student of the month for 2014 is Nate Eldodt. Mrs. James nominated him for his great work in the classroom. Mrs. James has great things to say about Eldodt's character. She says, "Nate brightens my day. He is well-mannered, respectful, smart, creative and an active participant in class". Good manners take you far in life. Good job Nate, and keep it up!
