WINNEMUCCA - The Lowry High School freshmen football team dropped its third consecutive game, with a 47-0 loss to Elko on Thursday, Oct. 3, in Elko.
The Indians' Angelo Jones scored five touchdowns on the night, three of them coming on rushing plays. He scored on runs of nine, 17 and 11 yards.
Jones also returned two interceptions for touchdowns. The first return was from 35 yards and the second was from 45 yards out.
Trevor Basaraba had a pair of rushing scores as well for Elko. He ran into the end zone on a 29-yard run and the second was a scamper of 65 yards.
Lowry (1-3 Division I-A North, 1-4 overall) hosted Sparks on Thursday night and results were not available at press time. The Buckaroos close out their home portion of the schedule on Thursday, Oct. 17, against Spring Creek at 5 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
