WINNEMUCCA - The Lowry High School freshmen football team collected its second straight win, with a 46-0 win at South Tahoe on Friday, Sept. 14.
"It was a game that we pretty much dominated," said LHS head coach Greg Scott. "Our defense played well and we moved the ball well on offense. "It was a chance to get the kids a lot of playing time."
James Boswell scored three touchdowns on the night, as the coach noted that he and Wyatt Warn ran the ball well. The Buckaroos used a bit of trickery to score one of their touchdowns, as Jared Carrica, a lineman, scored on a hook-and-ladder play.
"It was fun to see that play work," Scott said. "It's not every day you give a lineman the chance to score a touchdown."
Lowry (2-1 overall, 2-0 Division I-A) steps back into competition tonight as it travels to Lovelock to play the Pershing County JV at 4:30 p.m.
The Buckaroos return home on Thursday to play Elko at 5 p.m.
