Lowry finishes year with three team state championships

The Buckaroos won a 14th state title in wrestling, which is tied for most in Nevada history with Yerington.

The boys golf team won its 11th team title, which is the most in Nevada history. The next closest is The Meadows, Elko and Reno with six each.

The boys basketball team also won its 11th state championship and first in 10 years.

The girls golf team and softball team both finished second in the 3A this year.

The 4A state championships were dominated by Bishop Gorman, Green Valley and Centennial, with Bishop Gorman winning five titles. Green Valley and Centennial each won three state titles.

In the 3A, Elko and Truckee won three state championships each, while South Tahoe and Churchill County both won two.

Yerington led the way in the 2A with four championships, with Pershing County claiming two.

Pahranagat Valley (Alamo) won five state championships in the 1A.
