Lonnie (Buck) Herbert Saunders passed away at his home in Winnemucca on Oct. 13, 2012. He was born on Oct. 20, 1966 in Tonopah, to Bonnie Saunders and Leonard Saunders. Buck attended school in Tonopah, Ely, Winnemucca, Gardnerville and Reno. He also furthered his education through his career with AT&T.
Buck was a member of many wildlife organizations. He loved to shoot targets at the local trap range and he spent endless hours hunting and fishing with his friends and family in the great Nevada outdoors. He was an avid catch and release fisherman. He also loved spending time with his numerous friends and family.
He is survived by his father Leonard of Reno, his mother Bonnie, sister Yvette Rowley, nephews, Erik and Brock Rowley all of Ely and many aunts, uncles and extended family.
A memorial and Meat Trap Shoot will be held on Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Winnemucca Trap Club. All of our lives have been touched by his journey. Come share in the celebration of his life and bring your memories to share with all who knew and loved him.
