BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Battle Mountain Arts Presenters once again brought the Missoula Children's Theatre to Battle Mountain for the enjoyment and the experience that local students could have acting, singing and directing "Blackbeard the Pirate," with music and lyrics written by Michael McGill.
The students practiced all week under the direction of Missoula tour actor/directors Scott McGee and Erin Norlie. The entire performance was accompanied by local pianist Judy Dahl.
The cast of characters included Kyle Wilson as Blackbeard; Angelica Posadas as Bluebeard; Jillian Bisiaux as Redbeard; Logan Rochester as Greybeard; Connor Rochester as Yellowbeard; Cara Conder as Peachfuzz; Lezli Baird, KayEllen Edgar, Nicole Fischer, Sierra Pittman, Rachel Updike, and Kira Smith as beach bums; Tristan Wahrenburg as Lt. Maynord; Kierstan Foster, Shawn Francom, Desiree Nichols, and Tony Nichols as sailors; Arianna Rochester, Sarah Markel, and Bridger Sloan as mermaids; Jolena Ayers, Hadlee Bauer, and Brooklyn Gazier as seaweed creatures; Chase Lutz, Haileigh Peterson, Carter Pooley, Rylee Schmidt, and Kes Sloan as parrots; and Anna Cochran as Sam the Clam.
The student directors of the performance were Anna Cochran and Stormy Johansen.
The students did a terrific job showing the acting and singing skills they had learned throughout the week. The acted the story of a lazy day at the beach turning into a mysterious search for the legendary Blackbeard's treasure.
There is no photography allowed during the performance so that the students are not distracted. After the performance the students were allowed to pose for pictures.
The Battle Mountain Arts Presenters, volunteers, and most of all, the students did a great job putting on a terrific show.[[In-content Ad]]
