Willing to learn new skills? Compassionate? Non-judgmental? Level-headed? Team oriented? Safety conscious? Able to perform in difficult situations? Love of the outdoors?
If these traits match your personality and you are willing to spend some of your free time serving your community, the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Unit might just be the path for you to give back to your community.
We are a volunteer organization formed over seven years ago and have a proven track record of assisting lost and missing persons. Currently, we have room for additional members and we are on track to launch a training program to certify members at the national level. This is an opportune time to join.
If this program interests you, you are at least 21 years old and are willing to submit to a background check - you can pick up an application at the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, 50 West 5th Street, Winnemucca, NV. If you have questions you can contact Barry Heigher at 623-1353 or 304-8139 or Steve Kontny at 304-2465.
